生命傳愛行動的起源

「生命傳愛行動 - 保單捐贈」源於2004年12月南亞海嘯災難，「香港人壽保險從業員協會慈善基金」（簡稱”保協慈善基金”) 發起與同業一起「1 +1募捐行動」，為災民伸出援助之手。
災難偶然發生，關愛社會的精神應該持續而恆久。有見及此，保協於2005年，構思「生命傳愛行動」效法外國捐將保單捐贈慈善機構的經驗，並引入生命教育的反思， 與保協共同構思「生命傳愛行動」，希望透過推動全港性的「生命教育」及「保單捐贈計劃」，體現人壽保險的核心價值，同時期望全港超過八萬多位保險從業人員，藉着他們日常專業的財務策劃工作，引入保單捐贈概念，將關愛延展至社會，鼓勵客人捐贈 1% 保障額給予指定的慈善機構。
\ 我們深信愛是永不止息！隨即發起「生命傳愛行動 - 保單捐贈」，期望全港超過八萬多位保險從業人員，藉着他們日常專業的財務策劃工作，引入保單捐贈概念，將關愛延展至社會，鼓勵客人捐贈 1% 保障額給予指定的慈善機構。為慈善機構在現有資助基礎上，開拓未來10 至20 年長遠穩定的新資助來源，服務社會。
於2005年，「保協」構思「生命傳愛行動」，希望透過推動全港性的「生命教育」及「保單捐贈計劃」，體現人壽保險的核心價值及為慈善機構提供長遠而穩健的收入來源。多年來透過大型媒體宣傳及人命傳愛大使及領袖的推廣，「保單捐贈計劃」至今的認捐保單金額已逾2億港元，而已兌現之慈善捐款達8百多萬港元，成績斐然！
